THE PRODUCT: Audio Design Desk is an award-winning native macOS application that simplifies sound design creative workflow for video editors, filmmakers, musicians, and content creators.
THE PROBLEM: The product suffered from fragmented branding and a disconnected visual identity across the website, marketing collateral, and desktop app. Additionally, the outdated 1.0 version required a comprehensive design system and a complete product revamp ahead of the 2.0 launch integrating web-based marketplace and AI-powered new features including music and SFX generation and stem isolation.
THE GOAL: Redesign a scalable brand and product system to ensure a seamless upgrade path for existing users, while optimizing onboarding and creative workflows for new potential audiences.

MY ROLE: As the sole Product Designer, I owned the end-to-end design strategy, collaborating directly with founders and engineering team. My responsibilities spanned the entire product ecosystem, including the macOS desktop app UI, website, web marketplace, admin dashboard, brand system definition, and marketing touchpoints.
MY APPROACH: User Research, User Journeys, Personas, User Flows, Information Architecture, Wireframing, Prototyping, Usability Testing, High-Fidelity User Interface Design, Branding, Marketing Collateral, Brand Material, Cross-Team Collaboration.
IMPACT
- Unified Brand: Established a coherent brand system and visual identity across all product surfaces focusing on both brand and products.
- Positive Reception: The redesigned app UI received strong praise from the professional user community and was successfully adopted by the majority of the existing user base moving from 1.0 to 2.0 successfully.
- Market Expansion: The website, sound design marketplace, and online AI tools successfully engaged both Mac and Windows users.
- Engineering Optimization: The new design system allowed the development team to build a scalable component library, significantly optimizing development workflows and new feature releases.
